How do you schedule newborn sessions?

Q:When should I book my appointment? How can I book my appointment when most babies don’t arrive on their due date?
A: You can book your session as early as you want during your pregnancy! I STRONGLY recommend booking 3 months in advance. As a standard, I book newborns 7-10 days past their due date. This allows me to have flexibility with my schedule and anticipate when your baby may be born. If you happen to have a scheduled c-section or induction, notifying me ASAP will help ensure we can have baby photographed during the best time frame for babies. If baby comes earlier or later than expected, I allow generous flexibility and understanding in having to reschedule. Communication is key!
Newborn Studio Sessions are WEEKDAY ONLY and always begin at 10:30am.
Q:How old should baby be?
A: Ideally, babies should be 5-15 days old. During the first two weeks, babies sleep soundly and are incredibly flexible and allow many poses to happen during your session. As silly as it may sound, once baby reaches 3+ weeks old, it becomes increasingly difficult to keep baby sleeping soundly and there is more resistance to transition into poses. However, this does not mean I will not be able to photograph your newborn. I have successfully photographed babies well past 4 weeks of age. 15 days and younger is ideal to have the most seamless newborn session.
Q: How long do sessions take?
A: Newborn Studio sessions are scheduled at 10:30 a.m.
Newborn Petite Sessions begin at 10:30am and end at 11:30am
Standard Newborn begin at 10:30am and end at 12:30 & Newborn Deluxe Sessions are 10:30am-1:30pm
Studio sessions are weekday only. I take my time to work with your baby. I have training, skills and experience to safely pose, wrap and soothe your baby. I treat your baby as if your baby were my own.
When will we get our photos?
Your will receive an online proofing gallery within 5 days of your session. Once you select your images, you will receive them fully editied within 10 - 14 business days.
